What to expect in your career development meeting
All students in Year 10 and above are invited to a meeting with an independent career development specialist to discuss, generate and explore career ideas tailored to you.
You will meet Corrina Hackney who is a qualified career development advisor with Education Development Trust.
To get the most out of the meeting, there are some things you can think about beforehand:
- Do you have some specific careers in mind where it would useful to explore and talk through possible pathways and how well they might suit you?
- Do you have a developing strength or particular interest and want to see where it could lead?
- Is there something in the world that you feel strongly about and would like to know what different ways you could have an impact?
- Do you have a picture in your head of the kind of life you would like to have and wonder what types of work could help you make that a reality?
