PMG Schoolwear Website
Items with the Shaftesbury School Logo such as blazers, sweatshirts, PE shirts, school jumpers and also school ties for KS3 can be purchased through the external site PMG Schoolwear.
KS3 ties are available via PMG or WisePay – limited stock
KS4 ties are available via WisePay.
All other items of Uniform can be purchased through any uniform supplier provided it meets the Uniform Policy below.

We now have a second-hand uniform shop which is run by volunteers. This is located next to the main reception at Shaftesbury School. Please see our weekly school bulletin for opening times or contact the school.
Items can be purchased for a small donation or swapped for old uniform.
We are looking for donations of the following:
- uniform
- coat hangers
- sport wear (in good condition) including footwear
Please can any donations be given to main reception.
If you are a parent or carer who is able to donate their time assist with the second-hand school uniform shop, we would love to hear from you! We also need volunteers to help with washing and repairing uniform. Please speak to main reception if you can help.
Uniform Policy
Uniform List
• Black skirt or black tailored shorts/trousers (skirt must be A-Line / pleated and knee length- no Lycra style skirts)
• House colour tie
• School branded grey blazer (not optional)
• Black shoes – these can be plain black trainers – they must not have coloured logos, soles or laces as these distract from the overall smart appearance of the uniform
• Black/grey/dark/white ankle or knee socks or black/grey/navy tights (no thigh-high socks, stockings)
• School branded black V-neck or round neck jumper (this is optional and is not worn instead of the blazer)


P E Kit
- Sports shorts, skorts, trousers or leggings – no tights to be worn for PE
- Black school PE t-shirt, (school logo).
- Black round neck PE jumper, (Optional).
- Trainers.
Additional kit requirements
- Football boots.
- Gum shield.
- Rugby top in house colours (optional).
- Shin guards.
- Hair band for tying back long hair.
Additional uniform
- An outdoor coat, (not be worn in place of the school blazer).
- Hooded sweatshirts / hoodies are not permitted
- We allow tech fleeces of a dark colour
Guidance for appearance of students as part of the dress code
- Although nose piercings are permitted at this school, they must be a clear stud only. No hoops. We do not allow bull nose rings. If a student requires a clear, plastic retainer for their nose, their Year Leader will provide these.
- With exception of a clear nose piercing, no other facial piercings are permitted at Shaftesbury School.
- Nail varnish must be of a natural colour.
- False nails, although permitted, must be of a natural length and colour
- Earrings are to be one stud or small pair of hoops, (these must be removed for PE)
- No ear stretchers or ear spikes
- No headwear should be worn inside the school, except religious garments. Caps outside to protect from the sun are permitted.
Additional Equipment that should be brought to school every day
Essential: A pencil case containing 3 blue/black biros, 3 pencils, coloured pencils, rubber, 30cm ruler, Maths set, calculator. Dictionaries as advised by the English and MFL departments.
Useful but not essential: glue stick, coloured biros or gel pens.
- Coats worn to school must be dark in colour. No denim or hoodies (defined as being without full length zip). Coats with logos are unacceptable.
- Extremes of hairstyle, colour and presentation are not acceptable and colour should only be of a natural dye
- Jewellery – only one pair of small plain studs is permitted in pierced ears and students will be expected to remove these for PE.
- Other facial piercings are not acceptable.
- All personal property and clothing should be clearly and permanently named.
Students found wearing items of clothing which are not school uniform will be provided temporarily with the correct uniform.
